Cookery and Language Training
The CUEF and the Grenoble International School of Hotel Management offer French language courses combined with the discovery of cookery and culinary arts.
Target audience
These courses are designed for all who want to know more than French language and to acquire a better knowledge of French culture.
Organisation
26 course hours per week divided as follows:
- cookery courses followed by a meal: 16 hours
- language courses: 10 hours. Cookery courses (morning)Four sessions of four hours plus meal. The course content is organised around various French gastronomy regions. One session will be devoted to each region. Presentation of regional products as well as pastry and cooking specialities. Wine presentation and tasting. Language courses (afternoon)
- language aspect: work on the understanding and the oral and written expression based on written, recorded and video documents related to cookery and oenology.
- cultural aspect: geography of French gastronomy, discovery of different regions, traditions and the French "savoir-vivre". Depending on the number of participants, visits can be organised.
Levels
The CUEF offers three levels in accordance with those defined by the Council of Europe:
- A2: Waystage
- B1: Threshold
- B2: Vantage
